Sofie Royer Brooklyn Concert reviews
Tamia had total confidence, such good music, and a perfect voice. She could have done her hit with Babyface but otherwise, she was great. Great music, perfect voice, and total confidence from Tamia. Otherwise, she was great and could have done her hit with Babyface.
Chaka's vocals were everything and very jazzy, with an appropriate performance of Funny Valentine. I only wish she had sung I Know You, I Live You and Everlasting Love. We should have gotten all her ballads. Her vocals were everything, very jazzy, and with an appropriate performance of Funny Valentine.
Uncle Sofie Royer started his show with Party Train and that's just what his show was-a party! His many costume changes and choreography and lighting was non-stop! His vocals are perfect-he sounded just like his albums and I appreciated the riff from Bound 2 that he threw in at the end. I only wish his closer of Outstanding had been performed completely without the last half being a call and response, "the roof is on fire" sing along. Also, "You Dropped the Bomb on Me" is a huge hit that's played daily in the Bay Area so it was sad that he didn't do that one. Those lyrics are beautiful but we didn't get to hear all of them. The concert was worth every penny all round! He sounded just like his albums and I appreciated the riff from Bound 2 that he threw in at the end. His many costume changes and choreography and lighting was non-stop! His vocals are perfect.
